The Wisconsin Family Business of the Year Award is given in the following categories:

Small - Under 50 employees.
Medium - 50-99 employees.
Large - 100 or more employees.

First place winners in each category will receive a trophy and plaque. Special Awards may also be given for companies excelling in a particular area.

Each nomination is looked at in-depth by a panel of judges composed of independent business leaders. The judges consider the family business' contribution to its community and industry, its positive links between family and business, and innovative practices it may use, among other things.

An awards ceremony will take place on May 1, 2008 at the Marriott West in Middleton for the nominees, their employees, nominators, family and friends.
